working on dvdrip is one of the things on my todo list, as soon as i finish
rebuilding my system.

please reconsider dropping packages just because they don't currently have a
dedicated maintainer.  if upstream is alive and people are using it, leave it
alone.  especially if it's a popular package with just a handful of bugs.  also,
it's a lot more likely you'll find a new maintainer for a package when it's
already in the tree for people to discover and use.

isn't this what the maintainer-needed alias is for?
