Please also consider retain this package as a reverse dependency for https://github.com/ktrueda/parquet-tools. It is a commandline util to read parquet data, so I prepare to package in the future along with spark, apache-arrow and other big data infrastructure components in Spark-overlay where parquet data format is popular.
