Hi all

For those that had problems with X4.2.0, seems like
xfree-4.2.0-r2 fixes this problem.  Just emerge rsync
and enjoy.

Another thing, I made a small booboo.  Check if:

  /etc/X11/chooser.sh
  /etc/X11/Sessions/*

is executable, and if not just chmod a+x them.  This is
fixed on cvs, but I did not bump the release version as
I feel it is not enouth cause, and not many people will
have build it yet.

It still doesn't work for me.  It looks like at least one stage finishes,
but when it goes in to the GL part of the installation, it complains about
a missing GL.h (I think)

[gentoo-dev] rm -fr'ed /var/db/pkg/ - anyone want to try any experiments?

  An unfortunate mistype means that I have just now killed my package
database almost completely. I just wanted to let you guys know, in case
you wanted me to try any experiments in recovery but were too afraid to
try on your own machines. I'm thinking of maybe reconstructing it, but
perhaps I'll just start over somehow.

Hmm .. I can't really see how we can recover a 'rm -rf /var/db/pkg'

And I guess, the worst thing that can happend is that you'll merge the
packages again.
