[gentoo-dev] x11-base/xfree should be virtual/x11

Hi,

I submitted a bugreport today saying that all x11-base/xfree DEPEND's
should be virtual/x11. But my bugzilla bugreport (Bug #27479) was reject
with the reason: "open up bugs for specific packages" -> INVALID.
What now? Should I make a script that greps for packages with
x11-base/xfree and let it make automatic bugzilla bug requests? ;)

Be more specific.  virtual/x11 may provide xlib, but may not provide
extentions such as XRENDER and other "necessary" things for a modern
desktop.  This is something that makes a package-by-package decision
necessary.


I agree that the bugresolver could have been more verbose, but its
generally correct.

Yes. ;-)

I would think that one bug report per category would be enough granularity
though, i.e. app-editors, app-emulation, app-games...

I only see 117 individual packages that have this string in them and only
35 categories, so...35 bugs I supppose.
