Yes, when I include plug and play, my 3c59x modules loads with an irq of 0
and my emu10k module partially loads, displays a header, then removes 
itself, no error.

What is MPS 1.4? I will try disabling it.

I just switched to the same kernel, and I noticed it did have support, 
although the 2.4.16 did not.

So far adding the mem=nopentium has kept it from locking up, or it could 
be just a concidence, only time will tell.
