( http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17378 ) Installation instructions: - download the patch (click on second try) - as root, cd to /etc/init.d - run patch -p0 < [where you saved the patch] Testing it: - before you patch it, restart your network interface (must be running dhcp): /etc/init.d/net.eth0 restart If you are testing this on a different interface you'll have to copy the file. - get yourself all worked up about having to wait so long :) - install the patch - restart your network interface - get that warm fuzzy feeling you get every time you realize that Gentoo really /is/ the best thing since sliced bread :) - report your successful test on the bug. It really does work perfectly for me, and it really should work perfectly for everyone else, so, if it does work for you, please update the bug with your comments so it can be included in the standard baselayout.
