i've been trying to checkout portage-x86 for a couple days now and i'm
 having some problems.

 cvs checkout: in directory gentoo-x86/dev-util/cvs:
cvs checkout: cannot open CVS/Entries for reading: No such file or
 directory
 cvs server: Updating gentoo-x86/dev-util/cvs
 U gentoo-x86/dev-util/cvs/ChangeLog
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot open CVS/Entries.Log: No such file or
 directory

when cvs gets to the "cvs package directory" it craps out on me. can
anyone figure out why this is happening?

 thanks,
 ct
