Yes, I installed gnome when I installed RC5 (using binaries, emerge --usepkg).
But even if I wouldn't, shouldn't emerge take care of these dependencies? (if
gnome is a dependency for evolution, as it is)

Yes, Scrollkeeper should be in the dependencies of Evolution. I've
updated the ebuild. Let me know if you have other problems.

I am working on setting up this new raid box and run into a problem. I get
as far as the below msg in the boot process and it stalls. Any ideas
greatly appreciated.
ide: Assuming 33 Mhz system bus speed for pio modes, override with
idebus=xx
VP_IDE: VIA vt8233 (rec 00) IDE UDMA100 controlleron pci00:11.1
Ide0: BM-DMA at 0xd800 - 0xd807, Bios settings: hda:DMA, hdb:DMA
Ide1: BM-DMA at 0xd808 - 0xd80F, Bios settings: hdc:pio, hdd:pio
Hardware Specs:
Supermicro MB P3TDDE with onboard raid 0+1
2 X PIII 933
1GB SDRAM
1 20GB WesternDigital HD - Hanging on IDE0 as slave
1 24X Slim CD - Hanging on IDE0 as master
4 80GB WesternDigital HD - Hanging on IDE3 & IDE4 as master,slave X 2
1 Onboard Nic - I think it's a Intel Pro 100
1 Stealth 64 Pro 4meg vram
I have the raid configured as the 4 80Gb's as Raid 0+1 thru the built-in
bios config.
The 20GB is just as normal ide hd in bios.
Thanks
Wayne

I would say that this is a kernel bug. Whether or not there's kernel support
for your particular RAID setup (my guess is loading the correct module after
boot would make it work), your kernel really *should* boot no matter what.
When we start using a newer kernel, the problem may go away. Do you happen to
know what particular kernel feature you need enabled for Linux to recognize your
hardware RAID stuff?
Best Regards,

I am pretty sure I need the following driver loaded. Here's the link to the
driver on Promise's website.
http://support.promise.com/Linux/Default.htm
This might help.
Is there anyway to load a device driver during a new install?
