I've been looking around for a decent distribution for a new (old) Alpha 533
I have just acquired a few days ago, and seeing the list of supported
platforms for Gentoo, I had considered writing a comment to y'all asking if
there were any plans for an Alpha port... And today when I stopped by, I see
my question has been answered before I even asked! :) I hope the development
continues so I can add it to my short list to evaluate...

Hello,
I have an Alpha box sitting here with an external SCSI box. I will trade
it for a brand-new mid-tower case and a gentoo rc4 CD ;p
you pay shipping on everything :)

I'd probably do it if it were a 21264 or a 21164, but I'm afraid that it's
one of those wimpy $99 special mini-Alphas. :)
The best way to get an rc4 CD is to find a friend with DSL, or find a
university that has a (semi-)public computer lab.
Best Regards,

Yes Bryce, what type of alpha is it?. Maybe I'm still interested if it is a
wimpy one. :-)
But I life in germany so it might be better you pay your mid-tower in the us
