The pointing fingers, trash talking, etc is not furthering anything. If you don't like councils opinion, or someone elses opinion, well respect them enough to allow them their own opinion. The real topic at hand is about this mailing list and the proposed changes. If you don't like those proposed changes, please think it through and make alternative suggestions. The original proposed idea: * Make -dev a moderated mailing list, imposing a delay on all emails sent by non-developers and adding devs to that same list as needed. All emails should be of a development nature and should stay on topic. Devs retain the right to discard moderated emails if they are off topic or inappropriate. Devs found to be abusing this privilege would undergo review by devrel for further action. Devs would be required to be on this list. * Make a new mailing list for the off topic conversations to go to. Not a requirement for devs to join but a place to continue on a topic that really isnt development related. I really don't think anyone on council honestly believes that there are no good alternative ideas out there so the we as the community need to come up with those alternatives.
