Regarding versions:

	The current stable release is	   Tcl 8.4.0 (since Sep 14, 2002).
	The stable release before 8.4.0 is Tcl 8.3.4 (since Oct 22, 2001).

Sidebar History: Scriptics was renamed to Ajuba Solutions and later aquired
by Interwoven. Development has shifted to the community, with the TCT
(Tcl Core Team) guiding the process. The TCT mailing list is tcl-core
at SourceForge. See the project above. Commercial support has shifted
to ActiveState (See url in my signature).
