If the user skips parts of the handbook, things may not work quite right... but the manual workaround is so trivial anyway, this is really a non-issue. Just make it clear that "emerge netifrc" is needed to use net.* scripts, and mention some alternatives. A news item would be a good idea to warn veteran "haven't used the handbook in years" people. -Ben
