[gentoo-dev] new package category: net-vpn

Hey folks,

While VPNs weren't stylish back when most categories were added to our
portage tree, they now are hot potatoes. Most VPN-related programs
currently live in net-misc, which isn't quite right.

If nobody voices reasonable objections, I plan on adding a net-vpn
category soon and moving relevant packages into it.

To forestall the obvious question .. can you provide a list of packages
you would propose to 'move' into such a category?

making the commit, when somebody on IRC pointed out your message. I'd
encourage you to make sure your DKIM/DMARC/SPF configuration is
working.

Here are the packages I moved:

badvpn
freelan
ipsec-tools
kvpnc
libreswan
logmein-hamachi
openconnect
openfortivpn
openvpn
peervpn
strongswan
tinc
vpnc
vpncwatch
wireguard

I did not move the various l2tp packages from net-dialup, though
perhaps this will happen later.

Hm, i should probably move net-dialup/pptpd to this category...
Not sure about net-dialup/accel-ppp, cause it has IPoE now, so it is
more like generic NAS/ solution, rather than regular VPN
