Sure, but what's the alternative? GLEP-39 was written precisely because a more top-down system wasn't really working well. The new model is much more bazar-like, with the Council as a forum for appeal if things get out of hand. If once in a while we have to deal with the fallout of something like this I'll take that any day if it makes it more likely for the next X32/Prefix/etc to take off on Gentoo. Rich
