Hello,
I am installing gentoo on odroid c1 (armv7-hardfp)

shmsink/shmsrc don't seem to get installed when installing
gst-plugins-bad-1.6.2. I don't know if the problem exists on other
arches as well.

I expected an ebuild like gst-plugins-shm to get those elements but
that doesn't exist.

I had to compile gst-plugins-bad manually to get shmsink/shmsrc.

Am I missing something? Is there a use flag for them?

Regards
Mandar Joshi

That's what we have a bug tracker for:

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363631

Thanks. I'll do that.
I had a look at the output of ./configure --help with
gst-plugins-bad-1.6.2 and there is not "--enable-shm". There is just a
"--disable-shm". I don't know if a new ebuild gst-plugins-shm is
possible. So, the gst-plugins-bad-1.6.2 ebuild will have to be
modified. I am new to writing ebuilds. I'm not sure if this is
correct.

Thank You. Gilles Dartiguelongue <eva@gentoo.org> for fixing the build.
Just ran an emerge --sync and recompiled gst-plugins-bad-1.6.2-r1 and
now I have shmsink/shmsrc.
Tested on Odroid C1 and Raspberry Pi 2.
