Hello all,
I have just downloaded and burned the rc5 build cd in hopes of running
Gentoo and helping with the development (or at least the docs!).
One problem though...
I have done the following:
1) Boot from build CD image (42MB size)
2) Login as root
3) modprobe tulip (activates network card)
4) ifconfig eth0 up
5) dhcpcd -d eth0
I get the card to broadcast a request, but it times out.
BTW, I am using a lynxsys dsl router (has a dhcp server) to connect. Also,
this setup works in Debian Potato and Woody. What is different in this
system?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Daniel Parker
