Just out of curiosity, are you aiming for a sort of gentooish tom's, or a
generic boot the existing w/o a loader (rh style) or enough of a workable
root system to mount a cd and install (ala debian?) I'm personally more
interested in the latter, as I currently use debian's first two boot
floppies to help people get linux on older machines that don't boot from the
cd.
