Subject: [gentoo-dev] ChangeLog format for ebuilds
Date: Fri, 08 Feb 2002 09:14:13 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87u1sskqmi.fsf@tea.thpoon.com> (raw)
Why are we reinventing the wheel with the ChangeLog format of the
ebuilds? There is already a standard way of writing ChangeLogs,
devined by GNU:
http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards_toc.html#TOC40
And there is code to assist in writing and parsing changelogs, written
in that format. We can't use it with ours.
