Hi,

i use eldav-mode to access my WebDAV-Folders on multiple Gentoo Systems. The
eldav-mode runs fine on GNU Emacs and XEmacs.

Now i want to create an eldav.ebuild. Can i create "one" ebuild for
both emacs variants?

Well, it seems that emacs-packages use the "elisp" eclass and depend on
"virtual/emacs", while xemacs-packages use the "xemacs-packages" eclass and
depend on "app-xemacs/xemacs-base".

Isn't there a way to unify the developement of (X)Emacs ebuilds?

Jürgen

I believe one significant issue is that XEmacs packages are generally
distributed in a special XEmacs package format, which is not suitable
for use with Emacs.

Hi,

I do not recommend you to make an ebuild supporting both Emacs and
XEmacs but create different ebuilds in app-emacs and
app-xemacs. However, dev-tex/preview-latex is an example supporting
both.
