Hi.

Following the July 24th thread about changing the default location of
make.conf and make.profile in the new stages, I propose to commit 2
news items in 2 or 3 days.
The first one (previous email) was directed to all users and informs
about the change and what to do. The second one (this one) is directed
to catalyst users.
This news item should be presented to all users running a version of
catalyst prior to 2.0.11.

Does anyone have any comments about this news item?

Title: Catalyst updates
Author: Jorge Manuel B. S. Vicetto <jmbsvicetto@gentoo.org>
Content-Type: text/plain
Posted: 2012-09-08
Revision: 1
News-Item-Format: 1.0
Display-If-Installed: <dev-util/catalyst-2.0.11

Starting with catalyst 2.0.10.1, make.conf and make.profile will be
moved from /etc to /etc/portage. This is a change in the installation
defaults and may impact anyone using custom / automated methods to do
Gentoo installations. If you use catalyst, be sure to check if you
need to update your installation method(s).
The 2.0.11 version finally provides support for using xz snapshots.
Catalyst nows prefers xz over bz2 snapshots.
