Why don't people who want it more noisy use EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS in a similar way? I generally agree with the comment that in most cases it's just like a screensaver. We should just make sure the logs can be retrieved later if needed. One note though: sometimes build or test hangs at some point. There are situations where it's useful to see the current build output. --------------enigB80603DE2C4B55B44FDDF223 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.17 (Darwin) iEYEARECAAYFAk6/oI0ACgkQuUQtlDBCeQJVNQCfbcrN4WC+qLU3cJz0OqMlLjkG lXAAnj7/Y6+cS31LHnxRcxVRnxk3k+5T =eMZe -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enigB80603DE2C4B55B44FDDF223--
