How do we use the -d config switch of repoman?
Do I use it if i bump packages, add new dependencies?
Is it mainly for the maintainers of the profile/arch?

It's a good idea to use it when adding any new dependencies, since
that's the most common time when it really matters. The rationale
for not doing it by default is that it approximately doubles the
time consumed by repoman to check dependencies (more profiles ==
more time).
