With all of these problems, it sounds like in your case, our stable tree
isn't living up to our hopes. *This* is the problem you should be
bringing to our attention, instead of complications with portage and EAPI.
I looked up your email address on bugzilla, hoping to find at least 5
bug reports, one for each of the problems you describe above. I could
only find one (and even that one doesn't really make clear the fact that
the current stable has problems which is affecting your schoolwork).
Please could you fix that?
