I've noticed that on my last @world update, mpv's libplacebo USE flag
got removed and portage pulled in libplacebo.
Was there any reason behind this change? Mpv has been working perfectly
fine so far without libplacebo.

libplacebo was made nonoptional by upstream mpv in 0.37.0. The ebuild
reflects this.
