As I said in a previous reply, my original message was about runtime compatibility, not compilation compatibility. I want to be able to save in a package metadata that it was build using some version (as in compatibility version, not necessarily PV) of another package and I want emerge to automatically rebuild my package whenever this version is changed. --------------enigC23A14293C31C56F91BDF095 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFEsrQozkEeOnWD00RAi32AKC4C5Pdhs8ZhTtmGjEZbZrdN/YLDACgzylp CcnubSXPBJX+IDbOQeiYJro= =yl9B -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enigC23A14293C31C56F91BDF095-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
