Upstream changed that in version 3.6. There is a warning about the
renamed scripts in pkg_postinst.
baselayout rp-pppoe module has been updated before unmasking this version.

It is not deprecated yet, at least not until baselayout-1.12 become stable.
On that happy event, ppp-2.4.3 will also be marked as stable.
