I suggest you install dummy files.
start() {
einfo "This init script is deprecated and you can"
einfo "safely remove it from the default runlevel."
}
Also when doing etc-update/dispatch-conf over the conf.d file users will
see that the file is deprecated. Then you can just drop installing the
files in the next version.
