But it's in a state it can be worked with. You want the 1.2 one for DRI to work properly on e.g., sunffb and mach64. If you don't want various _dri.so modules, that can be hacked around in a different way, such as changing DRI_DIRS. I don't understand your comment about the kernel not supporting DRI at all. It clearly does in 2.4, but I haven't tried 2.6. Do you mean the DRM is no longer included in the kernel source?
