Hi

Just added glibc-2.3.2-r2 that is basically an CVS update to
make it work with nptl-0.39.

It should in theory enable use of NPTL on i[45]86, ppc and mips.
You do need a 2.5 kernel though.

Comments on success, etc for people with these platforms will
be appreciated.

I do believe that RedHat 9 ships with a 2.4 kernel that is able to run
NPTL, so there should be no need use 2.5 if we could get those patches
in gentoo-sources. Might not be worth the trouble though.

They are a bit sticky and touch much, so its hard to do a full featured
kernel with them.  I however have not looked at it (think it was dragon
or cretin).

There is actually a redhat-sources kernel containing 2.4.20-8, their 
RedHat 9, NPTL enabled tree; I've not seen anyone try using this kernel 
with Gentoo though; anyone out there who's tried it?
