Sorry I don't have the traceback, but I really wanted to install badly so I just "solved" the problem. The essence: .... portage.py domask (line 2464) portage.py zap zap couldn't split argument on "/" because it was an empty string. The error occurred when portage tried to zap "kdebase-3.1_rc1". The closest ebuild available seemed to be kdebase-3.1_rc2-rc1.ebuild. I copied this file to the one that was missing and bootstrap worked.
