Hi, devs
sys-apps/procps-2.0.6-r2/CONTENTS:obj /usr/bin/uptime
sys-apps/sh-utils-2.0j-r4/CONTENTS:obj /usr/bin/uptime
Yep, if you're having problems with running 'uptime' then
re-install sys-apps/procps and you should be good to go.
But what is the deeper fix going to be? How is the overwriting
of another package's file(s) planned to be handled in the future?
Karltk had an idea that only a newer version of the *same*
package may overwrite a file.. Not being terribly concerned
with what the actual solution is, I ask in hopes to get some
insight on where we're going in this regard.
Cheers

The deeper fix is to find out which version of uptime is more poopy, and then
remove it from the respective ebuild. We only need one.

Hi !
i was going thru gentoo.org as usual checking out what's new etc ...
so about gentoo distro CD, are you interested in selling some ?
i'm sure you'll wait 'till 1.0 i guess ...
so if yes, would you have for me an idea about when 1.0 should be
available?
i'm here in Paris but i lived in 3rd world countries and the US for
pretty long, so i can "go to" an/or "do business" all around the planet
whenever i see it worthy ...
i got connections in Chicago IL, NY, most Florida, Algiers,Algieria
which is booming right now in computer related domaines they may pretty
soon ban microsoft also, so if you wanna get a fresh stable market, i'm
here !
we love GPL but we need to pay our bills too ! :)
Best regards, Djamil.

Well, we're not ready to sell CDs right now, but maybe in 6 months.
Best Regards,
