rc5 is no longer actively supported (just existing installs).  rc6 is our new
version, and we will have a binary release as soon as rc6 is ready.  Right now
we are only doing rc6 build snapshots.

It can also be mentioned that the versioning scheme applied to the rc6
series is very confusing. 

One would of course expect that rc6-rX would be an updated version of rc6,
but the case is that rc6 has not been released yet.

Think of rc6-rX as rc6_preX for now.

I propose we 'fix' this slight inconsistency for the rc7 series (if we'll
have one).

And they aren't really Release Candidates, rather milestones.
