Subject: [gentoo-dev] Why does usb grab /dev/psaux?
Date: Mon Sep 3 10:39:01 2001	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <3B93B1C2.3040600@sophia.colorado.edu> (raw)

Dear Gentoo developers,

I have installed gentoo rc5. Mostly works very well. There is one odd
thing I'd like to ask about.

The usb interface doesn't use /dev/input/mice. Instead, it grabs
/dev/psaux, making it impossible for me to use both my usb mouse and my
ps2 mouse. If I disconnect the usb mouse, then the next time the system
reboots it sees my ps2 mouse.

I'd like to be able to use both of these mice!

Wes Morriston
