[gentoo-dev] Default config file to do make oldconfig?

Hi All,

I would like to recompile the kernel to make minor modifications, but I would
like to be as close as possible to the gentoo_rc5 default kernel.

linux 2.4.4.9 I think.

Where can I find the original .config file which could be used for make
oldconfig?

http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/releases/1.0_rc5/iso/iso-sources/stuff/config-1.0_rc5
should be it.  This URL is from memory so it may not be exact, but you should be able
to use it to find what you're looking for.

/usr/portage/sys-kernel/linux/files/2.4.4-ac9/config.bootcomp

Just to clarify, the URL I sent you is the config file for the *boot CD*.
The one achim pointed to should be the one you want.  Sorry for the confusion.
