Hi,
I was wondering, perhaps we should make XFree86 provide virtual/x11,
and then make packages that just require x11 depend on
virtual/x11. That way, if one day gentoo is supported on platforms
that dont use xfree86 (like just the regular X consortium version) we
won't have to change a bunch of other stuff. Other packages that
require XFree86 extensions (like DRI or whatnot) could depend on
Xfree86 specifically. What do you think?

Damn!!! That's a good idea. How come we never thought of it? I'm

Ok I will do this. I have not reworked much of the xfree dependend
packages, so it should not be a big thing.
