Don't you think that is the place for svgalib? It is mostly used by media-libs even if it is no media-libs itself so I think it should move. I added libgii/libggi to media-libs and a lot of triggers to USE ( X fbcon aalib svga ggi ) I updated mesa to build backends for svgalib or ggi-fbdev.
