While it does not really apply in this precise case, this rule's weight has been lowered a lot with repoman enforcing 'cat/pkg: ...' + hard limit on the commit message length. I often find myself in the need to use/invent some abbreviation in order to fit the limit. Considering this is an error, this sends the message that short is preferred over clear.
