I've used the above subset of these, so I'll review the upstreams to see
if they just moved or what.

Excuse me, but since when and based on what authority dead HOME or
the fact that ebuilds are ~arch only is sufficient basis for tree
cleaning?!

If package is badly broken (e.g. doesn't build or have serious
security issues unfixed for a long time), then yes — they can be
removed.

I suggest you to remove that ridiculous commit.

I'm using or have used some time ago the following sublist of now
masked packages:

- dev-util/ccmalloc
- dev-util/dissembler
- dev-util/duma
- dev-util/lsuio
- dev-util/pretrace
- dev-util/tinlink
- dev-util/usb-robot

I'll check if they still work and for those that are will step in,
if nobody else will volunteer to take care of them.

Best regards,
Andrew Savchenko

I also would like to have dev-util/dwarves be kept. I use the pahole
tool from time to time.
As I checked it, the git repository has new commits from this year.

Regards
Matthias

I took dev-util/dwarves now and updated it to a snapshot containing the
latest changes from upstream.
Now it works with recent compiler output again.

Matthias

Builds, but during profiling segfaults with modern gcc because it
uses unsafe builtin. Serious code rework is needed, so its sad, but
package should be ditched.

Taken and updated.

Taken, will update or fix issues later; as well as this package:

dev-util/ald
