IMO we're going to get those _ANYWAY_ no matter how long we wait, within reason of course. There will always be users that can't read/type/whatever and fail and file bugs. So if we have to wait for one (or more) users to forget about the initramfs crud & confusion, we'll be waiting 20 years.
