Doing updates on your schedule only avoids the symptom, not the > problem. We should strive to do both; cause less rebuilds, update less often. It is comparable to flooding on IRC channels; if you send much more messages, you are much more likely to experience a kick and/or a ban. It is easier not to flood than to convince people there is no problem with you flooding the channel; out of all the IRC channels I know of, I've only come across one where they don't mind pasted long code blocks but that's mostly because of the lack of active moderation and people. (With "flooding" as "updating" and "kick/ban" as "rebuilds") --=20 With kind regards, Tom Wijsman (TomWij) Gentoo Developer E-mail address : TomWij@gentoo.org GPG Public Key : 6D34E57D GPG Fingerprint : C165 AF18 AB4C 400B C3D2 ABF0 95B2 1FCD 6D34 E57D --Sig_/b/V.2dy7vfsLGC_A.IrT/So Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJT0tNaAAoJEPWZc8roOL/QpzgH/R7EVPV1mvhhJw6hGc9vrtwp 6Dc3qcEpf3pN6qR3/Dtj99ZrYPsZhka3M5c86NovsxYJM7v63QPQ4s7SmlVSaodY Z28+biCgUMDVHNbzySpRCDEOAOx3ZtUYfRugWcDw/sdbfc4jrJJCQnbXRXWdIXMe Gt/NMPZtEOjAu96YOMQ8v0r5yIM/4cjD/wIjx77UTkQlOlhXwU0l/Z421iNAIiGZ loZTSjwcylfe7U0ZxrMkC3+weyus4m/3G+K7OieuCQcXv1n3CRvJiB38El1W5IJY di2+w1svleb4VR35LyaMwv7k7OEpk9Ungdw2viQnBUGaAkyiP0uYuJhgEOL6XgA= =fGxU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/b/V.2dy7vfsLGC_A.IrT/So--
