Does the current PMS disallow > it? Yup. We based the PMS wording upon the Portage documentation and the commit message that introduced the feature, both of which explicitly say it's only for /etc/portage/ use, not tree use. Portage's support for directories like that in the tree is an undocumented fluke caused by using the same code for user and tree configuration parsing without adding extra strictness checks for the tree. --=20 Ciaran McCreesh --Sig_/wJFAW0K8QAIamcmuCReZVdV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.12 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkqEBxMACgkQ96zL6DUtXhH8tQCeKm/1SCvr1bUhL/1jrp8a6b35 XtMAnjVY6HS1sveXG2Qu476A6yOTrnHx =geVa -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/wJFAW0K8QAIamcmuCReZVdV--
