They're fairly straight forward and not to difficult to > manage. It works really fine here (finally, selecting CPU scaling schemes works aga= in=20 in KPowersave). The only thing, that bugged me was after installing it, a lot of daemons*=20 crashed because hald did an autoreload because of it's inotify feature to=20 reload rules as soon as there are changes to it's rules files. *daemons/applications that crashed: dbus powersaved -> KPowersave Networkmanager -> KNetworkmanager Also, the new hald didn't want to start, because dbus had crashed because o= f=20 the auto-hald-reload. So we need to prevent this before it goes stable: a) print out a big fat warning before doing the update / make the update=20 interactive, so we make sure, the user knows about the dangers b) find a way, to postpone the reload until the next reboot / disable=20 auto-reloading for the currently running session This were the only problems I could find so far. What I really liked about the update: didn't have to re-emerge=20 (revdep-rebuild) a single package.. ;-) Regards, Elias P. --nextPart1897758.kHd8OtHgPL Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGGDVOHzenisJbkx8RAq9yAKDB+k2Mxi4R0Jqsyu+6wvZh+UlhaQCgiwpQ 27mF23GR+hoHHf/yFvLlpjA= =lITz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1897758.kHd8OtHgPL-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
