pingus works fine here and I don't see any bugs open for =clanlib-0.6*.
Are you sure it's necessary to remove it?

Regards,
Petteri

we're tired of maintaining it, it's been dead upstream for years, and bugs
will remain bugs

the middle ground we're taking it is to leave these things in portage but
masked with the clear message "if it breaks, you fix it; dont bother the
games team without a fix"

OK, I thought the intention was to remove it from the tree. When I'm
done with some other stuff I may step up to take care of it, if it's
still there and you guys agree.

Denis.

it was ... that's why i said middle ground, as in the ground between the games
team wanting to punt this crap and the people who dont want to fix these
crappy games, just play them

regardless of whether someone wishes to help fix bugs (thanks by the way), i
dont think we want to unmask these

Loud and clear - over.

That means it's going right into my local overlay until my son
eventually gets tired of playing pingus.

why ? are you not aware of portage's ability to unmask things ? check out
`man portage` and read about /etc/portage/package.unmask

(not knowing you that much, I can't tell whether this was a joke or not)

I was expecting fixes proposed in bug #156496 to be looked over
someday, and end up in the tree or be discarded. Now that it surely
won't happen, I want to try them and see for myself.
