Hi guys.

This is a tool for interfacing Creative's Nomad II MG flash mp3 player. It was
a rather decent one at its time, but that was, well, long ago. I even wrote a
simplistic gui for that tool :). (And, incidentally, this is how I inherited
the package).

I don't have the device any longer. Also, the package did not see any updates
since 2003. I guess it may be considered "stale" at this point and given to
tree cleaners. Especially considering that it ceased to compile on x86 once
more (bug #152131). However, looking at how there is only one bug on it
(which though may merely indicate low interest) I want to give it some
resemblace of a 2nd chance.

If anybody still cares about this thing, please, by all means I am happy to
give it up. I will help with whatever problems come up with the gui part, but
I cannot maintain the tool itself. I am going to keep that bug open for
another month or so and in the absence of any interest I will give the
package to tree cleaners..

Also, there seems to be an alternative for this one - nomadii-utils, which
seem to cover this player. However I never tested those myself and the latest
they seem to have been touched by the upstream is 2002..

Masked, as per previous announement. Nobody stepped up, so this is now on
track for removal.

I read the original post, and you seemed quite keen on keeping it in; have
you posted to the user rep forum to see if you can p-maintain it for a user
or group of users?

Well, considering I wrote a gui for that tool I surely have an incentive to
keep it around :). That is as long as the tool itself works..

Besides, is there still anybody who has that player in a working condition?
Which leads to this one:

I could. Is this a particular forum on forums.gentoo.org? (sorry, I am not
that familiar with forums)
Is it this one by chance:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-314693.html ?

>From the About page this does not really sound like the one, but I don't see
anything more related..

Well, that's the thing: as I mentioned (in the original message as well as in
the referenced bug ;)) - I no longer have that device, so, that makes like 0
people who claimed to have it so far. I guess that falls under any kind of a
threshold one could plausibly claim (I do not say imagine, imagination is a
powerful thing :)).
