Thanks to atarus, I've updated a number of GLEPs:
40 (arch teams) Now marked Final
44 (manifest2) Now marked Final
8 (adotp-a-dev) Now adopted by tcort, & marked Final since it exists without
any clear complaints by the community
21 (package sets) Now adopted by antarus
I've also marked 11 Final since it's been up and running for some time.
I believe that GLEPs 14 (GLSA security updates), 23 (ACCEPT_LICENSE),
and 33 (eclass ELIB) are being worked on, but it would greatly
appreciate confirmation (and the names of the folks currently working on
them if it's different from the GLEP authors).
I'm adding a new key, "M" for "moribund", that will identify GLEPs that
have been accepted, but never implemented. If there's any sign of life
in such a GLEP, I'll happily change the "M" back to an "A".
Here's the changes that I intend to make unless folks squawk otherwise:
15 (script repo) --> M
19 (stable tree) --> d (deferred due to inactivity)
20 (/srv) --> M (there are local flags, but no obvious work on a global)
31 (UTF-8 in the tree) --> I, unless there's any obvious reason not to
32 (maildir location) --> d
33 (eclass restructuring)
35 (ebuild checking) --> d
37 (virtuals deprecation) --> F? (Isn't this already implemented?)
38 (forums folk) --> ?? What's the status here?
42 (critical news) --> Change owner to zmedico?
45 (GLEP date format) --> I'm going to implement most of it, but it
isn't worth my time to change the CVS
datestamp formats.
46 (upstream tags in metadata) --> status here?
47 ('safe' environment variables) --> d
48 (QA role) --> I don't remember what happened w/ this one
49 (alt package manager 1) --> R (by council; sane API preferred)
50 (alt package manager 2) --> R (by council; sane API preferred)
51 (knowledge base) --> GDP want to approve this one so I can change
the code?
Thanks,
g2boojum

You left out the char indicating your intention here; 33 likely will
have to be revisited in light of original intentions for it and how
paludis has implemented their equiv (and no, that's not a potshot).
33 is bound to an EAPI bump most likely anyways, so probably will be
revisited when someone pushes a EAPI=1 glep (few months for me I'd
expect).
> 35 (ebuild checking) --> d

No, actually;
A) no package.prefer
B) (bad jason), the consistancy section, it actually was a req of the
metapkg conversion that portages resolver go either -D by default, or
metapkgs be marked in some fashion so that portage knows to always go
one level deeper when encountering a metapkg.
> 46 (upstream tags in metadata) --> status here?
Didn't even know that existed, personally have some questions on it if
someone has the intention of resurrecting it; neutral, just question
some of the keys...

Might want to clarify the "sane API preferred" bit.

I had semi-unofficially taken over this one, and updated it with
reference implementations etc. Last I knew it had been submitted to the
council, but I never heard of the outcome. If Zac wants it though, go
ahead.
> 48 (QA role) --> I don't remember what happened w/ this one
Council approved it, then Halcy0n quit and QA was without a leader so
stagnated. However, I just took on that role with a view to getting
things moving again, so given that the GLEP is more a statement of
intent than something to be implemented I would say it can probably be
marked final at some point.

Ah, thanks. The index.xml page still listed 38 as SA, and I hadn't
looked at the actual GLEP. Updated in CVS.

I went ahead and added both of your names as authors, then.

Marked final.

Thanks, that's a big help. It's "M" for now, w/ a note that future
revisions are expected.

37 is now marked "d" since reality and the GLEP seem to have diverged.

Sorry, I should have been more precise. The council rejected both
GLEPs in favor of starting with a Gentoo package manager API (which
spb is slowly assembling), and then requiring in-tree package
managers to implement that API. Or at least that was my understanding
of that meeting.
Thanks!

Clarifying a bit, he was to document EAPI=0; that's not a package
manager API however, just a format description. ;)

Sorry for the late reply, had some problem with my mail setup recently.

I wouldn't consider manifest2 final yet. If you look at the "Backwards
compability" section we're currently between steps 2 and 3 in the
migration process (atm about 60-70% of the tree are manifest2 ready,
see dev.gentoo.org/enone/reports/mf2 )

Glep 14 currently waits for a working set implementation (the backend
code for glep 21), so it's stalled until glep 21 is finished.
