Hi,
does any of the Gentoo kernel sources in Portage contain the nfs-ngroups patch (http://www.frankvm.com/nfs-ngroups/)?
I'm looking for an easily maintainable solution to bypass the NFS limitation of 16 groups per user.
Thanks,
Robert

As your previous question, this doesn't seem to be very development
related, but rather a support question - please direct them to the
gentoo-user mailinglist or the forums in the future.
If it is a bug, use bugs.gentoo.org.
cheers,
Wernfried

Hi
I just wanted to ask if bugzilla is used by all developers, in this case
specific by kernel developers? I created a bug some time ago concerning
a known issue with the SCSI/libata subsystem that may result in a
breaking harddrive (depending how old the harddrive already is).
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174373
Unfortunately it looks like noone is recognising it. Is there a specific
reason for that?
Could be that the developers already included it into a private tree. In
this case a respond (maybe only one line) would be great (so that I as a
end user know that someone included it).
If it was ignored, it's acceptable if there are other reasons or more
important things to do. I'm just worried that not only developers but
also users may leave Gentoo because of things like that. I know that
this is not representable, but I wanted to highlight this specific issue
because I think that the patch is very important - not only for notebook
users.
Best regards

For kernel issues, please file bugs in bugzilla.kernel.org as the gentoo
kernels are almost exactly kernel.org kernels, with only a few minor
things added (bootsplash being one such thing.)

That should go to bugzilla.kernel.org please.

Our kernel developers are pretty overloaded right now and busy with
"real life" things at the moment.

Greg, this is already filed on kernel.org's bugzilla as issue #7838.

That's what I just replied on our bugzilla.

Great, then poke the kernel developers again if they don't respond :)
thanks,
