In=20 such a pkg, there *should* be a common lib- so you're suggesting=20 either static linkage of said code (disk but more importantly mem=20 bloat), or so renaming (further divergance from upstream, more issues=20 in glsa handling). Yet *more* manual work. You want this, implement it in an overlay. You get what you want, and if you manage to make it not suck the big=20 one, hey, maybe you might convince a few people. Either way, people aren't going to yield- put in the work to prove=20 them wrong rather then just trying to talk them into the ground=20 please. Besides... pushing this hard for something, you better be willing to=20 do the work yourself- can't expect others to do what you want when=20 they disagree. ~harring --jt0yj30bxbg11sci Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFE2HEJvdBxRoA3VU0RAmicAKDdkM27AmGsFQ2ood24eprZGmdl8gCgjaC4 +fzHCG5Fe2qg+eWfHiu0e+k= =WB+X -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --jt0yj30bxbg11sci-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
