Subject: [gentoo-dev] Removal of dev-ruby/nano-methods and dev-ruby/mega-modules

Hi all.
This is just a little heads up that the packages mentioned in the
subject will be removed at the end of next week (on 2005-11-05 or
2005-11-06).
Why will the get removed? dev-ruby/facets is an extension library that
adds some extra functionality to Ruby. For the last release upstream
decided to split up the package and released them as Nano Methods and
Mega Modules respectively. This changed again when facets-2005.10.30
(yep, that's still in the future) got released yesterday, which means
that the two separate packages are obsolete now. The new facets has
already been commited to CVS, so there's no real reason why the others
should stay.
Cheers,
Michael
