And when did | this nonsense happen? This is what the original metastructure policy said, which means it happened something like three years ago. The original point of herds was as a fallback rather than as a primary maintainer. This obviously isn't how things are done currently... A GLEP revising the role of herds and adding in maintainer-needed would be useful. I'm not going to be around over the weekend, but if no-one else has written something up by whenever I get back I'll throw a draft together... --=20 Ciaran McCreesh : Gentoo Developer (Vim, Shell tools, Fluxbox, Cron) Mail : ciaranm at gentoo.org Web : http://dev.gentoo.org/~ciaranm --Signature_Fri__9_Sep_2005_19_08_26_+0100_Ih9ppe+Jo/VY7lSV Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDIc+c96zL6DUtXhERAo9vAKCPa/tZDU114K6cX55+wpWrJkckUACgv8ry nb2y+nUREUZWReCaoAo9j6Y= =261V -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Signature_Fri__9_Sep_2005_19_08_26_+0100_Ih9ppe+Jo/VY7lSV-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
