Can somebody explain? maintainer-needed isn't a herd, it's an alias. On the same subject, no-herd isn't legal in metadata.xml either. Both of these are metastructure policy matters, so changing them requires a GLEP. A GLEP probably wouldn't be a bad idea, either... The way the tree is maintained has changed considerably over the past few years. In particular, herds are no longer a fallback for when the maintainer (single person) is not available. --=20 Ciaran McCreesh : Gentoo Developer (Vim, Shell tools, Fluxbox, Cron) Mail : ciaranm at gentoo.org Web : http://dev.gentoo.org/~ciaranm --Signature_Fri__9_Sep_2005_17_10_18_+0100_a+G7pFpN.P4npmiW Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDIbPs96zL6DUtXhERAtwnAKDnVOkL5hxEnaLeWRkHTQIpjl0UYACggW+z +QoN6YF7qxsmZUBQMNHQKLk= =/y5r -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Signature_Fri__9_Sep_2005_17_10_18_+0100_a+G7pFpN.P4npmiW-- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
